Invisalyn – Approaching the end of my Journey

Invisalyn – Approaching the end of my Journey

Hey guys I’m now 11 months into my Invisalyn experience and I’m back with a quick update from my  previous blog to inform you how I’m getting on.

I started to see a dramatic Improvement at Set 22/23. Literally it just happened over a few days I was amazed. My cross bite began to shift across, which was the main reason I wanted to get Invisalyn, to correct the problem. My upper and bottom set of teeth started to shift into position and link together in harmony. I recently finished my final set of 27.

Upon my last visit to Dean Street Dental Co.Kilkenny, I had my attachments at the front removed and I got new moulds taken for my refinement stage. A refinement stage is the final process which corrects minor details. My bite needs to be slightly altered to make it 100% . In my opinion they look perfect but my denist is a perfectionist and wants them spot on.  I hope to have my moulds back by christmas week or the start of the new year.  I will have approximately 10-15 more sets which I will change weekly. I have got into a routine of wearing my retainers every day and night, I now feel weird when I’m not wearing them a few more weeks wont kill me. I was giving a home teeth whitening treatment which I place into my trays over the next few weeks. This was included in my treatment plan. So I will update you on my teeth whitening process in the oncoming weeks.

This was at set 24.

Bride of the month

Bride of the month

Hope you are all having a lovely week. I’m back to show you again my bride of the month. I love doing bridal makeups its so different than regular day to day makeups, its much more personal.

I find as a makeup artist you really get to know the bride as a person, which I love. It is very important as I need to create a makeup style to suit their personality. A brides day is the most important day of their life so its so awarding to enjoy the moment with them.

Tina was a spring 2016 bride, I know this seems like a lifetime ago now as the months have just flew this year. Where has the time gone?. I always wait for brides to send me professional photos of the day to post up a blog ,as it lets me show you the special moments of the day.

Tina was the nicest person ever and so calm.

Her makeup was Glowing and flawless. Look at that highlight.

Foundation was Mac Studio fix fluid and Nars radiant creamy concealer.

The eyes were all Matte tones with lashes and smoked in the waterline to add definition.

I had the pleasure of doing Lisa’s bridal makeup on the 8th July 2016 in Douglas Co.Cork. I arrived in the early morning to the stunning Maryborough Hotel

I set my area up in the outstanding bridal suite. It was filled with natural lighting which was a massive bonus for me, I was ready to get into the job. Lisa was surrounded by friends and family and everyone was calm and relaxed.  They were enjoying each and every moment. It was a pleasure to be part of the day.

I did a trial on Lisa a few months back so we were both happy to keep the same look we originally discussed . We decided to go for a soft glam eye with a simple flick liner to had definition and to add volume to her lashes. The complexion was flawless with perfectly sculpted cheeks with a soft rosy blush to the apples of the cheek.

Lisa’s Dress was stunning. It was elegant with a classic twist, it suited her to a tee. The veil was absolutely mind-blowing, it was the most amazing veil I have seen over my years of doing bridal parties. I took these two photos myself the morning of the wedding to capture the detail.

Her dress and veil was from Folkster In Co. Kilkenny.

The  nude bridesmaids dresses were from Asos , very simple but just so beautiful and complemented Lisa’s stunning gown.
